Chalk Full of Fun Art
Hi There!
Hi There Redwood City!  I hope you all had a wonderful weekend fireworks-red.jpg celebrating our Country's Independence Day.  The parade in downtown was such fun and the chalk festival that took place at Courthouse Square featured some amazing, talented artists.  The fireworks out at the port were a great ending to a wonderful summer day in our fine City.

With summer in full swing, there are so many great businesses that you can visit here in Redwood City where you can take advantage of our amazing weather.  From outdoor dining in the downtown to enjoy the warm evenings, to a local ice cream shop for a cool summer treat, to the indoor activities if you want to escape the heat, there is something for everyone to enjoy summertime.

I hope you enjoy this month's newsletter.  As always, if there is something you want to ask or need more information on, I would love to hear from you.  I can be reached at [email protected].

Downtown Shopping and Ice Cream!
Young's Ice Cream and Candy Shop - 2020 Broadway - What's better than Ice Cream on a hot summer day? How about Ice Cream, Candy and Toys!  That's what you will find when you visit Young's Ice Cream and Candy Shop.  Stop in for a delicious sundae with all of the toppings, or some other sweets picked from their candy and chocolate displays.  You can also find some fun and unique gifts for the kids as well such as TY stuffed animals, Stephen Joseph toys, puzzles and more.
Dining Out(side)!
"Climate Best by Government Test" is never truer than in the summer months when you can enjoy the beautiful evenings of Redwood City by dining outdoors at one of our many restaurants in Downtown Redwood City.  While there are many sidewalk dining locations, here are some of my favorite hidden outdoor dining experiences you may not know about.

Angelica's - 863 Main St. - Their beautiful outdoor patio featuring décor imported from Italy along with beautiful plants and a waterfall built by restaurant owner Peter Cuschieri makes you feel like you have stepped into a secret garden.  Highlights of the menu include, of course, prime rib, as well as a lamb shank, macadamia nut brie and cheese appetizer, and delicious desserts like a salted caramel cake and pumpkin cheesecake.

Gourmet Haus Staudt - 2615 Broadway - This specialty story features a large selection of food, spices and over 100 German beers and all of the fun collectibles such as Gnomes from Ger many and if you get hungry or thirsty while you are shopping, you can stop in their Beer Garden located out back.  Try one of their 10 German beers on tap, and great German food such as Jumbo Pretzels and  Bratwurst.
