July 16, Football Blues- The College Football Hall of Fame will round out the stellar "Football Blues" tailgate series on July 16 with a patriotic twist. Join our red, white and blue party and celebrate the U.S.A. with America's favorite foods like hamburgers and hot dogs and music from Alabama's Andrew Velez Band from 1-5 p.m. Click here for tickets.

July 23, Mascot Day-  Show your favorite college mascots some love on Mascot Day! Fans who dress up as their favorite college mascot get FREE admission to the Hall on July 23. Guests must arrive in costume to our box office to receive free entry.

July 30, Educator Day- The Hall will hosts its own "Educator Day" and offer FREE admission to teachers and principals with valid identification. Educators can also learn about our free T.E.A.M.S. curriculum - a comprehensive lesson plan focused on technology, engineering, arts, mathematics and science. The Hall's compelling educational experience is sure to bring your class to its feet!

Aug. 13, National Lefty Day- Join us for National Lefthanders Day as we celebrate lefty Hall of Famers like Steve Young, Frankie Albert and Terry Baker! Get $5 off your ticket by completing our outdoor QB challenge with only your left hand. Guests must arrive at our box office during normal business hours to participate in the promotion.
The College Football Hall of Fame opened its doors Aug. 23, 2014, in the heart of Atlanta's sports, entertainment and tourism district. Adjacent to Centennial Olympic Park, the new Hall provides visitors with a highly immersive, interactive and engaging experience using a blend of historic college football artifacts and state-of-the-art, interactive multimedia exhibits. The Blitz
College Football Hall of Fame coach Barry Switzer will receive the Tom Osborne Legacy Award during the Outland Trophy presentation banquet Jan. 11 in Omaha, Neb.

College Football Hall of Famer Tracy Ham, now an Associate Athletics Director at his alma mater Georgia Southern, is among 10 recipients of the minority scholarship award from the John McLendon Minority Scholarship Foundation for the 2016 Division 1A Athletic Directors' Institute.

College Football Hall of Fame coach Fisher DeBerry will host the Seventh Annual South Carolina Coaches for Charity July 26 at the Hyatt Regency in Greenville, S.C. Participating coaches include Wofford's Mike Ayers, Furman's Bruce Fowler, South Carolina's Will Muschamp, South Carolina State's Buddy Pough, Clemson's Dabo Swinney and Citadel's Brent ThompsonEach coach chooses a charity that benefits from his participation, as well as picking an Jerry Richardson Community MVP Award honoree.

College Football Hall of Fame coach Ike Armstrong was posthumously inducted into the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Hall of Fame July 8. The 1982 and 1983 Colorado Mesa football teams were also inducted.

The Tim Tebow Foundation, led by the 2009 Campbell Trophy winner from Florida, is calling  for everyone to join together July 23 for an international day of service.

2015 NFF National Scholar-Athlete Jacoby Boren (Ohio State) and 2013 NFF National High School Scholar-Athlete Adam Greene, now playing at Maryland, are among 39 football players to earn Big Ten Distinguished Scholar Awards.

2010 NFF National Scholar-Athlete Greg McElroy (Alabama) is moving from the SEC Network's pregame show SEC Nation to a weekly regular-season game assignment as an ABC/ESPN analyst.

2005 NFF Chris Schenkel Award recipient and f ormer Notre Dame football radio play-by-play veteran Tony Roberts has been selected for induction into the National Radio Hall of Fame.

2010 NFF National High School Scholar-Athlete Dan Wodicka was hired as the running backs coach/video coordinator at Northern Michigan.
Over The Middle
The NFF Bill Dooley (N.C.) Chapter  will host its  14th annual Pigskin Preview July 18 at the Embassy Suites in Cary, N.C. The event will feature head football coaches from colleges in the region, including David Cutcliffe (Duke), Dave Doeren (N.C. State), Larry Fedora (North Carolina), Jerry Mack (N.C. Central) and Scottie Montgomery (East Carolina). All proceeds from the event benefit the chapter's scholarship program.

The NFF Capital District (N.Y.) Chapter announced its Seventh Annual Capital Region Football Hall of Fame Induction Class, which includes 23 individuals and the 1939 Whitehall High School team. The induction ceremony will be held July 30 at the Radisson Turf Inn in Albany, N.Y.

The NFF Nebraska Chapter will hold its Hall of Fame Banquet on Sept. 9 at the University of Nebraska's Memorial Stadium in Lincoln.

Michigan and Notre Dame will renew their rivalry with a home-and-home series in 2018 and 2019... The NFF will participate in the SEC Media Days on Thursday, July 14... The start times for two Big Ten football games to be carried by ESPNEWS on Saturday, Sept. 10, have been adjusted... The Patriot League will have two football games broadcast on the American Sports Network this fall...

Since 1959, the National Football Foundation has annually recognized the best and brightest college players, presenting them with prestigious NFF National Scholar-Athlete Awards, presented by Fidelity Investments. The $18,000 postgraduate scholarships are presented at the NFF Annual Awards Dinner in New York City. 

Launched in 2008, the NFF Scholar-Athlete Alumni Association provides a powerful vehicle for past honorees to remain in the vanguard of the NFF's present efforts.
