Last week, we told you all about how to get started with CMC using a free email promo code. If you missed the flyer, click here! So now you have signed up for CMC and generated your first message. How do you know if it was sent? See tip #2 below for a detailed explanation. 

Tip #2: How do I know my message was sent?

Built into our CMC module are a variety of tools to help you monitor the status of your messages. In addition to a report you can print (CMC Status Report), there is a screen that allows you to monitor messages in real time.


If you would like to see this, go to Modules>Customer Message Centre>Status Monitor. You will see a screen that shows all messages sent in the last two months and their status. Here is a sample screen:


There is a key at the bottom left corner that will color code each message so you know exactly what the status is for your messages. If your message is highlighted in green, then it is "delivered". If your message is highlighted in another color, check the key and the status message.

You can filter your request using the options at the top of the screen to show only email, fax, or SMS messages. There are also options to pull up messages for a single customer - or even a group of customers. As you can see, there are many possibilities available to you.

Do note that there is often some delay from the time the message is actually delivered and when it will appear on the screen. (We put emphasis on the delivering of the message, then the display of its status.)
