WE'RE LOOKING
Dear Community,

We are pleased to announce that the Castro Country Club is on the hunt for a new Executive Director. We're seeking a visionary and dynamic individual to join and lead a great
team as we fulfill the critical mission of the Castro Country Club.

For over 33 years the Castro Country Club has effectively served a crucial roll in the LGBTQ community. Most
recently, we want to honor and appreciate the contributions of our amazing staff Louis Cullen and Billy Lemon, our large and diverse volunteer team, the CCC Advisory Board, and of
course the wonderful community that we serve. You all are amazing!

As we roll through this time of transition, you can continue to expect the same commitment and dedication to our community. Watch us as we grow and spread our wings.

CCC Volunteer of the Month:
Michael Bergeron
We honored to introduce you to Volunteer of the Month for July.
Michael Bergeron

Michael has been a consistent member of our CCC team, his willingness to fill in where needed and his infectious smile and laughter provide much needed warmth.
 Here are his words
:

"In July 2012, I found the Castro Country Club.  Overcome by feelings of loss, shame and anxiety, the CCC showed me compassion, love, and understanding.  The fellowship introduced me to a new way of life, and provided me the space to live. It is more than a place for meetings and socializing, it is a safe space.  What I found at the club was beyond my expectations, a community of my fellows.  After losing my job, I began volunteering at the CCC and what started as a way to keep busy quickly proved to be lifesaving. Volunteering helped me overcome bouts with depression and has given me purpose in a time of deep despair.   I am proud and thankful that I have been able to give so freely what has been given to me and I plan to continue that, so that the newcomer can find it as well."  -Michael Bergeron
