We Americans live in the age of the Rat Race, of productivity, of more for the sake of more and more as the measure of personal worth. The Bible has much to say about this subject, beginning with the best ways to live given by God to Moses for the people of Israel.

Join Fr. Jenkins for a discussion and exploration of the meaning and implications of the Sabbath for modern Christians. The course is based upon the book Sabbath as Resistance: Saying NO to the CULTURE OF NOW by the renowned scholar of Old Testament, Dr. Walter Brueggemann, Professor Emeritus at Columbia Theological Seminary. Copies of the book will be available at the first meeting for $10 (cash or check to Saint Paul's Church).
