SCMC School of Music Trio Presents Concert To Fund Sister City Exchange
Comprised of students from the St. Cecilia Music Center School of Music,
Trio Brioso has plans to to share their music with our sister city Perugia, Italy this summer.
To raise funds for the sister city exchange trip, Trio Brioso will present a concert at 3pm on Sunday, April 26 in Royce Auditorium.

Trio Briosco is a string and piano trio with of Mara Logan (violin and piano), Karl Falb (violin) and Helen La Grand (cello.) All of these young musicians are member of the SCMC Junior Music Clubs. You can learn more about Trio Brioso and their exciting trip to Italy on their

The musical exchange will include 10 days in Italy working with composer Francesco Ciarfuglia, playing throughout Perugia, and performing with a quartet from La Scuola di Musica La Maggiore de Perugia. In the fall, SCMC will welcome a young group of musicians from Perugia to Grand Rapids. They will perform at various events at SCMC and study with local musicians. James Johnson was educated at Kendall College and the Art Institute of Chicago. His career as a commercial illustrator began in 1971 and continued for over thirty years.
Since retirement in 2004, Jim has taken to painting landscapes in his native Michigan and in Key West.
