Important Reminders
Finding and Supporting Work-Life Balance
Even though the annual Kim Award is presented to an AME member, its significance is a reminder that all in our educator community need to find our own work-life balance and make time to rest, refresh, and rejuvenate. We hope everyone is doing some of that this summer!

AME member and 2015-16 Kim Award recipient Marieke Kruidering, PhD used the Kim Award to  bring balance to her life with some well-needed rest and relaxation with her husband, who had suffered an accident prior to their vacation.  Carole and Ed Kim (SOM '75)  endowed the Kim award to promote well-being, rejuvenation and work-life balance for an Academy member. It has two (lovely) conditions: it must be spent within the year and cannot be used on anything work-related.
