The board of directors of SHC-NM is pleased to announce Steve Ross as its new executive director. Born and raised in Albuquerque, Steve is a fifth generation New Mexican. As a matter of fact, his great-great grandfather, Edmund G. Ross, was the territorial Governor of New Mexico in 1885. Steve graduated from Highland High School and attended UNM on an athletic scholarship, graduating with a Bachelor's degree in political science. He holds a Master's degree in management from Webster University.
Steve spent fourteen years as a director for the YMCA in Amarillo, St. Louis, and Albuquerque before going to work for UNM as the associate director of the alumni association. He spent eighteen years in higher education with various colleges and universities before returning to Albuquerque where he most recently served as the director of advancement for St. Pius X High School.
