Here are a few highlights from the ongoing work at the Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB).
CVB Generates $2.3 Million in Publicity, Increasing Santa Clara's Visibility as a Destination

The Convention & Visitor Bureau's (CVB) online Visit Santa Clara brand gained an additional 10,118 NEW followers in FY 2015-16. According to Forbes Magazine, the net worth of a social media following your brand is $100. Using that formula, the economic impact in publicity alone for the CVB's Visit Santa Clara social media following was over one million dollars.

Combined with over $750,000 in trackable media coverage generated by in-house written press releases, over $108,000 in publicity via 3,600 new views of the destination video and nearly a half million ($426,000) visits to the CVB's website www.SantaClara.org, the impact and influence the CVB has on increasing Santa Clara's visibility as a destination was substantial. 

 
"50 Awesome Things to Do in Santa Clara" Blog Views Increased by 117% in FY 2015-16

For FY 2015-16, the CVB's "50 Awesome Things to Do in Santa Clara" blog received 34,942 views, a 117% increase. The blog highlights many of the city's visitor attractions and fun things to do. Many of the listings are frequently shared by the local hotel community and commented on by visitors.

CVB Generating Buzz Around Places to Eat in Santa Clara

The Convention and Visitors Bureau's (CVB) "50 Awesome Places to Eat in Santa Clara" blog posts have generated much discussion about the things to do in the city and places to eat. The blog was created earlier this year and has the online community commenting on the great places to eat in the city, including a local favorite, Stan's Donuts.
