Letter from the Executive Director |

Dear Alumni and Friends:
June was full of excitement and community pride at Leadership Pikes Peak! The Signature Class of 2016 celebrated 38 graduates at the beautiful Penrose House. The Women's Community Leadership Initiative joined 23 female graduates in honoring their dedication and accomplishments! Each reception hall was filled with community leaders, supportive employers, family and friends. All 61 of these new alumni are proud to be a part of our community and ready to begin fulfilling the mission of LPP...
to build a thriving community through leadership and service. Engage. Enrich. Empower. Connect.
If you recognize the graduates in the photos, please join us in welcoming them as the newest Leadership Pikes Peak alumni!

A Letter to the Project Angel Heart Team
|
Pictured left to right, Sally Rothstein, Jeff Peterson, Erik Wallace, Jane Zook, Janet Kerr, D'Ann Jackson, and Chris Aaby. |
Speaking of heart...
I find mine full this Friday morn after, first, opening the envelope that Chris handed me yesterday to discover yet more of your good wishes and commitment to our organization in the form of a generous collective donation (wow); and then, second, after seeing your incredible project video this morning (I am excited to share this with my PAH team!)
You do good, meaningful work, folks.
Please know again and still that we are so very grateful for how you connected so genuinely with our mission and launched that passion into valuable outcomes for our clients, for our organization, and for our community. Watching and hearing each of you on the video, it is again clear you both learned about and experienced Project Angel Heart. You've left a legacy with how you executed a fabulous cereal drive and positioned future drives. I and we could not ask for better partners and champions.
Regardless of how and when, I know you will continue to be advocates for what we strive to provide for over 1100 people every week in Colorado Springs and Denver (with around 200 people on our waiting list, we have more work to do!) On behalf of those we serve, and hope yet to serve, thank you.

Big Brother Big Sister Pikes Peak announces an innovative partnership with Atlas Preparatory School, and they need your expertise!
This coming fall the Mentor 2.0 program will take college preparation and post-secondary planning to new heights. Working with a low income school and a majority of first generation high school graduates we will be matching each high school freshman with a college educated (2+ year degree) mentor. This 1:1 mentorship will be done through an innovative digital platform, and will allow for the mentor to share her/his passion for business, entrepreneurship, community service, and activism.
If you have a degree, can send one email a week, and can attend one structured evening event a month then you are a perfect candidate for Mentor 2.0.
