New Advanced Managed Switches, the 7000 Series

Phoenix Contact’s new 7000 series managed switches were designed specifically for use in Ethernet/IP networks where redundancy and extensive diagnostic functions are paramount for a high-availability automation network. The 7000 series Ethernet switches support direct integration in a device level ring (DLR), providing major advantages in the installation and implementation of EtherNet/IP networks. In small and medium-sized machine networks that are implemented in a ring, using a 7000 series switch in the control cabinet enables the incorporation of up to six Ethernet devices, such as human machine interfaces (HMIs), personal computers (PCs), scanners, and other field devices. In larger machine and system networks, the 7000 series switches allow the redundant DLRs of the machine network to be interconnected, as well as provide a link to the higher-level industrial backbone network. New PROFINET/PROFIsafe Hybrid Module Combines Standard and Safety I/Os in One Device

Turck introduces the TBPN safety block I/O module, which is the first block I/O module to combine both standard and safety inputs/outputs in a single device. The IP67 hybrid modules can be adapted to the specific signal requirements in the machine, and in doing so, help users to save valuable space and greatly reduce overall systems costs of their machines.

MC664 and MC664-X

With a Quad core A9 processor, dedicated communications core, up to 128 axes and built-in EtherCAT port the MC664 range create a versatile m otion coordinator.  The built-in Ethernet port allows programming and connection of common HMI and PLC protocols directly to the MC664.  Both the MC664 single core and the MC664-X quad core models are ideal for high axis count machine and robotic applications.
