"I am of the opinion that my life belongs to the whole community and as long as I live, it is my privilege to do for it whatever I can."

Zika Virus is Headline News
Health Foundation of South Florida recognizes your dedication to our community. As partners in building a healthy South Florida, we are sharing information on the Zika virus from the Florida Department of Health. Among the ways they are keeping the public informed is by covering our state with dynamic posters.
For your convenience, here is a link to seven posters which are available in English, Spanish, Portuguese and Creole. There is also a poster for pregnant women.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the virus, named after the Zika Forest in Uganda, was discovered back in 1947. This year, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the Zika virus a Public Health Emergency of International Concern. And today, we can proclaim our commitment to caring by helping to share information on preventing this virus.
Thank you for passing it forward.
