McGinley Summits Highest Peak in Europe

Casper, Wyoming - On Monday, June 27, McGinley Orthopedics CEO Joseph C. McGinley successfully summited Mount Elbrus - the highest peak in Europe and one of the Seven Summits in the World.  This follows Dr. McGinley's successful summiting of Mount Kilimanjaro in 2011. At an elevation of 18,510 feet, Mount Elbrus stands as the highest peak on the European Continent.  Located in the Caucasus Mountain of Southern Russian, near the border with Georgia, Mount Elbrus is recognizable by its distinct two peaks formed by dormant volcanic domes.

Next month, Dr. McGinley will attempt another feat by competing in his fourth Cowboy Tough Adventure Race with the McGinley Innovations Race Team.  Members include McGinley, Ryan Larsen, Adam Johnson, and Amanda Dowler.  The 2016 race will be the second year of competition for the foursome.

Started in 2013 thanks to the tremendous vision of Governor Mead, The Cameco Cowboy Tough Expedition Race is now one of the premier adventure races in the United States and is part of the AR World Series and a qualifier for the AR World Championships.  This year's race, run July 14-17, will kick off at Crossroads Park in Casper and include over 400 miles of biking, paddling, trekking, and climbing around Wyoming.  For more information about the race visit www.cowboytoughwy.com.
