SHANI HAVAN

ABISHEKAM
Trayodasi, the thirteenth day after a full moon or new moon, that occurs on a Saturday is auspicious for Shani.
This Saturday, July 2nd, Shani Trayodasi will be observed with a Sani Havan at 10:00 am, followed by abishekam at 1:00 pm inside Baba Temple.
If you are out of town and would like the prasad mailed to you, please mention that in the details while registering.
Devotees can perform their own sesame oil (til) abhishekam to Sani Dev in the back of the Sai Temple (next to Navagrahas) all day Saturday.
Priests will perform archana to Sani by request all day Saturday in the Navagraha Building (no oil please).
Shani Mahadev is currently in Vrishchik (Scorpio) Rasi, Jyesta star. If your Moon/Nakshatra/birth star is in Tula/Libra, Vrishchik/Scorpio, or Dhanur/Sagittarius Rasi, you are in Sade Sathi.
Sade Sathi is a 7.5 year period where Shani is affecting your mind, emotions, success, and relationships.
Rasis and nakshatras affected by Sade Sathi are:
- Chitra - pada 3-4, Swathi, Vishakha - pada 1-3 (Tula rasi)
- Vishakha - pada 4, Anuradha, Jyeshta (Vrishchik rasi)
- Mula nakshatra , Purva Ashadha, Uttara Ashadha - Pada 1 (Dhanur rasi)
To gain relief from Shani Mahadev, and bring peace of mind and relief of worries, you may perform Shani Havan on your name, Gotram, and birthstar. This will lessen the affects of Shani's affliction, and bring relief.
