Assessment Vouchers, offered by The Energy Network, help contractors offer a $300 discount on a Comprehensive Energy Assessment for Energy Upgrade California® Home Upgrade projects offered to customers of Southern California Edison and/or SoCalGas®.

How do Assessment Vouchers work?
Each Assessment Voucher provides $300 directly to the contractor after meeting the following requirements:
  • Homeowner must participate in Home Upgrade and Advanced Home Upgrade
  • Contractor must include a line item on the customer invoice indicating "Comprehensive Energy Assessment" showing the $300 discount to the homeowner
  • Contractor must complete an in-home Comprehensive Energy Assessment and provide a report to the homeowner

How do you redeem an Assessment Voucher?
Contractors can redeem the Assessment Voucher online after the Home Upgrade project is completed, separate from the Contractor Portal. Visit   http://tenres.com/voucher.

To redeem an Assessment Voucher, contractors must submit:
  • A valid (unexpired) promotional code. Submissions received after the expiration date will be invalid and void.
  • A copy of the Notice of Incentive Approval email from The Energy Network, SCE or SoCalGas, verifying the project is complete.
  • A copy of the customer invoice showing the $300 discount to the homeowner for the "Comprehensive Energy Assessment."
Both Home Upgrade and Advanced Home Upgrade projects are eligible.
Schedule a Home Performance Sales Training - in your own office!

This in-house Home Performance Sales Training provides an overview of key sales skills, tools, and approaches for residential contractors, especially those delivering energy-efficiency and performance upgrades.

The class includes elements important for success in consulting, and selling HVAC and home performance improvements to homeowners.

Your session will cover: communicating building science to a consumer; consultative sales enhanced by home performance; questions as communication drivers in the sales process, and closing deals.

This statewide program is managed locally by utilities and regional energy networks and directed by the California Public Utilities Commission in collaboration with the California Energy Commission. Funding comes from utility customers under the auspices of the California Public Utilities Commission. Incentives are offered on a first-come, first-served basis and are effective until funding is expended or the program is discontinued.
