Assalaamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatahu:
On behalf of ourselves, Majlis, Staff, Volunteers and the larger membership of the Islamic Shura Council; we wish you a most joyous Eid Al Fitr. May you and your family enjoy the festivities in peace and harmony.
We thank Allah, subhanahu wa tala, for blessing us with Ramadan, the month of the Quran, fasting, patience, peace, piety, prayers and charity. May Allah accept our devotions and keep us always on the correct path.
We also hope you will find this regional database of all the
Eid prayer venues
helpful in planning your day of Eid. While we celebrate Eid Al Fitr,
let us reflect on the challenges of our time and recommit ourselves to confront them with confidence and grace. Let us also not forget to pray that:
-
the millions of people who continue to suffer due to natural disasters, and man-made wars, violence, occupation and oppression.
-
Muslims will stand firm against divisiveness, xenophobia and Islamophobia,
-
those who perished and those who still cannot exercise the freedom to worship.
-
Muslims will
stand against all
sectarian and ethnic
prejudices and divisions
and embrace the concept of one Umma living in peace and harmony with each other,
and
-
the freedom of all political prisoners everywhere, particularly in Guantanamo.
Most of all, let us pray that we remain steadfast in striving for justice, peace and harmony with consistency and patience and in humility. Let us
continue to work together with the spirit of Ramadan to end the suffering of all people and uphold the universal and timeless values of our faith at all times.
We urge you to remain active in your local Masajid and remain fully engaged for the common and the greater good of the society.
Once again, we wish you a very happy Eid Al Fitr.
