*  From Scratch by Chef Gigi has opened on South Main St in Cornelius. The t raditional American restaurant offers fresh daily prepared meals that have the special taste that only a home cooked meal can deliver. 

* Congrats to The Vinyl Pi Pizza Joint & Grill in Huntersville, who recently celebrated their second year anniversary.
 
* Kudos to PDG & Tenders for coordinating a hat sales, in which proceeds will go to the US Veteran Corps to grant wishes of four wounded veterans in NC & SC.   

* Way to go Chick-fil-A Huntersville for running a "Back the Blue" campaign that donated a portion of proceeds from the month of June to local law enforcement.

* Don't miss  D9 Brewing Company's  Lake Norman Summer Concert Series Sat, July 23 from 5-10pm. All Summer Concert Series nights are children and pet friendly.

* Stop that bus! Don't miss the infamous Brew Bus that goes to/from four of Lake Norman's best bottle shops and taprooms on Sat, July 23. For only $10, get unlimited rides on the loop to all stops including Bayne Brewing Company, Bottled & Tapped, Cornelius Drafthouse and Old Town Public House from 7pm-midnight.

*  Homewood Suites Davidson will host Karaoke Night Thurs, July 21 from 8-11pm at the Nautical Nook Bar.
   
*  Welcome back Jane Blackwell as the Country Inn & Suites in Huntersville's new General Manager. Jane served as Director of Sales for the same property from 2010-2013.

SPORTS
* The road to Rio goes thru Lake Norman! Welcome cyclists for the US Paralympics Cycling Time Trial this Sat, July 2 at the Park in Huntersville. Good luck and go team USA!   

*  Step aside Wimbledon, potential future tennis stars will descend on Lake Norman for the USTA NC Junior Team Tennis State Championships July 15-17 at area tennis complexes. 106 teams and over 750 junior tennis players will compete making it the largest junior state championship in NC's history.

*  Hey batter-batter, Top Gun Softball's Summer World Series returns to Lake Norman July 15-17 at Bradford Park in Huntersville and Westmoreland Athletic Complex in Cornelius. 125 youth softball teams from four states have registered to compete.
