It's been a very exciting spring homebuying season here in Rhode Island. The steady increase in home sales reached a record high with sales up nearly 19% from last May and the median price reaching $239,000. In May, our Homeownership Division celebrated its best loan origination month since July 2007!
All of this success would not be possible without you and the many programs and initiatives Rhode Island Housing is able to provide --
like the Ocean State Grad Grant, which remains in high demand. To date, we have issued 160 grants, totaling nearly $1.3 million.
It is because of the Grad Grant that out-of-state millennials like Doreen-Miriam Nyangau (
