PRACTICE: How Not...
Watching human behavior on the golf course is amazing. While practicing my short game another golfer began working on their short game. As some of their shots nearly hit me I became, " a bit concerned". The pace they were hitting seemed very quick. At one point they had 2 balls rolling at the same time and ready to hit a third. This pattern of "Moving at all times" was how they practiced until it was time to tee off.
The moral of good practice
: Hold your finish until the first shot stops rolling and then get ready to hit your next shot. The held "Academy" finish will indicate a commitment to your swing. The feedback you gain from watching a shot provides a data point for the next time you are faced with a similar situation. We need to learn from our practice and not just hit "rapid fire shots". The following article by Sean Foley may be a redo but well worth watching when it comes to effective practice.

2016 US OPEN THOUGHTS
- GREAT WIN BY DUSTIN JOHNSON
- The USGA did the right thing by explaining and apologizing on Tuesday for the situation. Lets hope they will find a way to never have this happen again.
- By far the most important. On 3 separate occasions during the Open 3 competitors notified officials that their ball moved and asked how should they proceed. Do you recall even once during the NBA play offs or any other sporting event a player calling a violation on themselves for an obvious infraction. "GOLF... What a great game played by some of the most honorable athletes in the world".
Easier and Faster
"What the HECK is going on"?
While speaking to a student golfer, I asked them "When did you play last"? Their response floored me, "It has been too hot to play". Huh... too hot to play? They followed that up with "I do not go outside if the temperature is above 80 degrees.
Huh... Get outside and get moving. Studies show that movement helps stimulate brain development.
As always please let me know how I can help
