   We are so thankful for changed lives and great help!
Summertime Smiles 
Summer brings both sunshine and blessings to Necole's Place and our clients. What a joy to be able to expand the children's programming in the summer to include older children (we usually top out with 4-year-olds; but summer brings us children as old as 10).  This has allowed busy mothers to continue to come to parenting classes, Bible Study and GED training while their older children are on summer break from scho ol.
 
This year, it has been exciting to take the kids outside to enjoy the sun. The warm weather, of course, necessitates cooling off with water games! These activities have given the kids an opportunity to get in the sun, run off some energy and learn responsibility. In particular . . .

Baby Bottle Campaign  
A Woman's Choice's annual baby bottle campaign began on Mother's Day, May 8th, and ended on Father's Day, June 19th.  This year, 90 churches participated in the campaign!  AWC staff will be busy for . . .  
 

 "Love Where You Are" Beautification Project 
Alyce Weixler, a committed volunteer on our Development Committee and Team Life Bike Ride Committee, encouraged her Love Where You Are group from Southeast Christian Church to spend the day serving at Necole's Place painting the client restrooms on June 4th.  This was no small job; the group worked hard and enjoyed fruitful fellowship while doing it . . .

MFuge at Necole's Place 
 This summer, Necole's Place has been blessed to have the constant helping hands of young adults participating in the Christian ministry program MFuge. Each week, the staff at Necole's Place gets to meet and connect with a new group of teen girls in the "women's track" of MFuge. For that week, the girls selflessly give their days to help our ministry in any way possible. . .

  • Four saved babies!

  • Filled staff positions, and it's been a very smooth transition
  • Two new Love Thy Neighborhood Interns serving at Necole's Place this summer
  • Purity class starting in July for daughters of clients 
Please pray for: 
  • The difficult lives of our clients - drug addiction, abusive relationships, poverty
  • Increased hostility of the escorts out on the sidewalk
  • Need for additional resources, housing, transportation, mentors and church families to come alongside our clients
  • Staff not to grow tired or discouraged; health and well being
  • Employment for women leaving abusive relationships
  • Childcare (loving and safe) for women returning to work
  • Client's children to be accepted into Head Start programs this August
  • GED students to stay focused and on track as they prepare for testing before break
  • God to work through Bible Studies bringing salvation to the unsaved and growth to baby Christians
  • Wisdom, self-control, and stewardship mindset for clients when it comes to their finances
  • Clients continue to learn parenting skills and be strengthened to parent consistently
  • Healing for clients dealing with past abuse and a willingness to seek treatment
