Greetings from the Executive Director!

The Greater Valley Area Chamber of Commerce (GVACC) is excited to announce a new partnership with the Boys and Girls Club. The GVACC will recognize one boy and one girl for each month during the summer.

Other events that the GVACC is currently working on include:

1) The Partners in Education program for the upcoming 2016-2017 school year. If you or your business are interested in becoming a Partner in Education please click here to learn more about the program and the school(s) or school systems you may partner with this upcoming year.

2) The GVACC will be hosting the Annual Membership Dinner in September. The date and location will be determined later this year. We are currently looking for sponsors for this event too. If you are interested in being a sponsor please  click here  to access the Sponsorship Letter. If you are interested in providing an item or items for the annual raffle, please contact the Chamber. 

3) The Third Annual Native American Pow Wow will be hosted this year at the Chambers County Agricultural Arena in Lafayette on October 15th and 16th. Business After Hours

The Greater Valley Area Chamber of Commerce recently hosted a Business After Hours at The Polka Dot Box Boutique in West Point. Special thanks to all of our members who came out and supported this new business in our area. 

Ribbon Cutting

On July 11, 2016, at 11 a.m. EST the Greater Valley Area Chamber of Commerce will have a Ribbon Cutting for the new owner of Valley Monument. Please join us for this  event.

Business Seminar -  Affordable Care Act

The seminar will address the concerns that many businesses with 50 or less employees have in providing affordable health insurance options to their employees.

Deborah Mitchell, GVACC President
 
Deborah Mitchell is Social Security Disability claimant's attorney providing Social Security Disability and Supplemental Security Income benefits services to claimants in East Alabama and West Georgia.  She has recently began assisting deserving Veterans with both their disability and pension benefits.
Deborah Mitchell is a registered nurse and an attorney who has focused her practice on Social Security  and Veterans Disability law. She and her staff have over 31 combined years of experience in assisting deserving claimants get the Disability benefits they deserve.
