July 2016
Greetings!

On July 4th we celebrate 240 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence. What does "independence" mean to you? Google defines it: "free from outside control; not depending on another's authority."  Most of us want to remain independent and stay in our communities as we grow older. Empowering Vital Aging programs at East Side help connect older adults to resources that can solve everyday challenges and provide solutions that make life easier. I encourage you to read on about the many activities happening at East Side and in our community including a new evidence-based health and wellness class at ESNS, Living Well With Diabetes and a very cool Gadget Fair hosted by NE Seniors. Please join us for a class or an event and learn more about how you can live well at home!

Happy Independence Day!
