PASTOR'S MESSAGE
Dear friends in Christ,
 
In  Sunday's Gospel reading, when the Name of Jesus was spoken by the 72 disciples Jesus saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.  Satan, our chief enemy, is judged.  God's judgement came upon Satan and people were healed and demons cast out.  Jesus describes seeing his disciples tread on serpents and scorpions and overpowering demons.
 
We live in a time of great tension.  It seems as if many are closing their ears to the Gospel of Christ.  Yet, God's Word is no less powerful today as when Jesus sent the 72 into his harvest field like lambs among wolves.  The name of Jesus still destroys strongholds.   And on the last day, at the name of Jesus, every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord, to the glory of  God the Father. 
 
Let's proclaim the name of  Jesus to  one another and watch Satan fall like lightning.

PICNIC FUN JULY 10!
Join us at the church picnic!  Social Ministry in conjunction with the Board of Elders is hosting an old fashioned church picnic at the Pavillion at Eagan's Central Park starting at  11:00 .  Cost will be $5.00 per person 6 and older (5 and under free).  Menu includes fried chicken, hot dogs, salads, roasted corn and pie.  



 
PIE BAKING CONTEST

There is going to be a pie baking contest at the church picnic this year. Bring your best pie to the picnic for a chance to our "best of the picnic" ribbon. Pie-baking fame awaits!
