A DIFFERENT WORLD FOR TRAVEL?

Well, the dust has settled a little more now on the Brexit situation and it looks like we already have a new Prime Minister. The Labour party are still in turmoil - will we have a new opposition leader next week? Who knows. The SNP are desperately trying to keep Scotland in the EU and hedging their bets on a second Independence referendum.

How different the world seemed only a couple of weeks ago pre-Brexit.

What does all this mean for the Travel Industry and the travelling public, I hear you ask? At the moment - very little would seem to be the answer. Having put the feelers out, it would seem that business was perhaps a little bit slow pre-Referendum, but has picked up considerably after the vote with many travel companies (Agents, Tour Ops, Cruise Lines etc) reporting healthy sales increases - all this despite the currently poor exchange rates for most currencies. Seems that there are some great deals out there for long haul lates, cruising and Summer 2017.

We are used to coping with change in Travel - everything is fluid, markets, continually moving. I keep saying that we are a resilient industry and that our travellers/clients are amongst the most resilient in the world. The one thing that UK public refuse to give up are their holidays and this information would seem to back that up.
