Heritage Bloodbath
Bahamas Biennale is proud to present Heritage Bloodbath, the latest saga in the Old Put series by Bailey Scieszka with music by MGUN. We will be hosting two ticketed days for the Heritage Bloodbath performance: Friday July 22nd andSaturday July 23rd. Doors open at 7pm and the performance will begin at 7:30 sharp. Tickets will be ten dollars and will get you not only a seat for the event but also a poncho, signed poster and unlimited cotton candy-Faygo-Natty Ice.

The Wee Art School Series presentsPaula Schubatis
Paula Schubatis is a Detroit-based artist,as well as purveyor of all things bright and glittery. Schubatis explores urban landscapes through woven textiles,paint, and found materials, using material remnants of the past to manipulate the tactile experience of the present, in an attempt to "assert connections to the past by strengthening links to the present", and blur the distinction between art and artifact.

NOMAD Caravan is a family friendly free community event of bazaar exchanges,performances, demonstrations and much more. Featuring the NOMAD Mobile Art Cart projects, a series of swap stations, Live T-shirt printing by One Custom City, Motown Movement for Kids with Torri Lynn, Music Presented by Detroit Folk Workshop with performances by Easy LifeEntertainment, Lac La Belle and Nick Sternberg.

Barriers by Oren Goldenberg - Corporate training exercise
In Barriers, film and video maker Oren Goldenberg has created a series of physical obstructions which the gallery visitor may choose to negotiate as an individual, with others, or not at all. This "corporate training" exercise will focus on how we overcome obstacles, both individually and in groups.

Map the Market
The Detroit Atlas is a printmaking, mapmaking, and bookbinding collaborative project based on workshops like this, funded by a Knight Foundation. There will be monoprinting, relief printing, and letterpress printing activities for everyone who attends! All of these printmaking workshops will be based on the prompt of personal mapmaking, particularly intended for Detroit residents making maps of Detroit.
