Student Schedules 2016-17
|
As in the past, students' requests for courses were subject to approval by teachers. With few exceptions, these requests have been honored. Barring computer errors, we do not foresee a necessity to change rosters in September.
Schedules for incoming 7th graders will be mailed July 28. All other new students will receive their schedules at New Student Orientation on Wednesday, August 3, from 9-11 AM. Students in grades 8-12 will be able to access their schedules online through MMS after August 1. Anyone with an outstanding balance will not have access to a schedule until their balance is paid.

Any request for a course change must be accompanied by a written parental request, teacher approval (as originally needed), and a $25.00 Late Roster Change Fee. Since the Master Roster is built according to the original registration of students, we cannot guarantee admission to particular classes. For incoming new students, if an error has been made in placement, teachers will initiate the needed change and no fee will be assessed. No course changes will be permitted after two calendar weeks once school begins. No changes will be made after September 16, however, track changes in courses will be considered into the first quarter at the discretion of the subject teacher for any student who has been inaccurately placed in a course.

 On the first day of school, students will receive a packet of information to deliver to their parents. This process replaces the paperwork that was previously mailed home or accessed online. The packet will contain mandatory forms that will need to be completed and returned to school no later than Thursday, September 1.

 Students should check the York Catholic website at

for their summer math and reading assignments based on the classes they will be taking during the 2016-17 school year. Please note: the Math assignments posted on the website earlier only reflected half of the assignments that were distributed in class. They are now up-to-date on the website.

The Athletic Department invites "all hands on deck" on Saturday, August 13, from 8 AM-12 PM to help prep the fields, grounds, and structures for the fall season. Paint brushes, tool boxes, work gloves, and willingness to help is needed. Parents and YC supporters, along with seventh graders and older are needed. This is a service hours opportunity for students. Please go to

Handbook & Paperwork
The Marching Band Handbook and required paperwork are available on the YC website in the Student Activities-Music section. All required forms should already be turned in to the office. Please return all PIAA Physicals Forms by July 27. Musicians will not be permitted to participate until paperwork is submitted.
Band Camp
Bring your instrument, music, lunch, sunscreen, and a water bottle August 1-4, 8-11, and 16-18 from 8 AM-4 PM. If you are new to Marching Band, please report to Band Camp on July 28 and 29 from 8 AM-4 PM as well. Please read over the band handbook thoroughly.
