AGEING TO SAGEING OUTREACH COORDINATOR

This position will connect with seniors in north east Edmonton who may be interested in contributing their knowledge, skills and time to making a difference in their community. The Outreach Coordinator is responsible for providing outreach, case-finding and follow-up services addressing the social and emotional needs of older adults through assessment, support, connecting to resources, advocacy, system navigation, identification of system gaps and engaging community to fill those gaps. 

The successful candidate will hold a degree or diploma in Social Work. Experience working with older adults and familiarity with community development are considered assets. The position requires the ability to become registered with the Alberta College of Social Workers, hold a valid Driver's License and show proof of 2 million dollar liability insurance. This is a permanent, full time position.

AGEING TO SAGEING COMMUNITY ANIMATOR

This position will employ an intentional community development approach in mobilizing the gifts and potential of seniors to facilitate engagement in activities that can contribute to the improved wellbeing of individuals and families in north east Edmonton. The Animator will engage seniors in the community, monitor and evaluate assumptions, activities, and endeavors, and inform and guide the program. 

The successful candidate will be college or university prepared in a wellbeing related field, such as community development, recreation therapy, social work, nursing, or occupational therapy. The position requires a valid Driver's License and proof of 2 million dollar liability insurance. This is a permanent, full time position.

TEMPORARY ASSESSMENT, HOUSING, SUPPORTS AND MULTI-CULTURAL SENIORS LIAISON COORDINATOR

Sage is currently accepting applications from Registered Social Workers with experience providing support, assistance, information and referrals to older adults addressing their basic, social and emotional needs. This position assists the older adult in becoming familiar with housing options and works closely with all other internal programs. In addition, this position works with the Multi-Cultural Seniors Outreach Workers to connect the seniors they work with to appropriate resources.

As a Registered Social Worker, the successful candidate will adhere to the Social Work Code of Ethics and be a member in good standing with the A.C.S.W. This is a temporary position to March 2017 with a possibility of extension.

Store To Door™ is a personalized grocery shopping, delivery and shelving program for low income, homebound or disabled Edmontonians who are unable to do their own grocery shopping. Clients will be matched with a volunteer who will shop and deliver the groceries.
