Simon the Sweet

Karen started to worry when Simon, her sweet and gentle five-year-old Siamese cat, began running away from his food bowl. When she realized that eating seemed to really hurt him and his gums were red and swollen, Karen wasted no time taking him to the veterinarian. Simon was diagnosed with stomatitis, a painful and life threatening problem in cats that makes both eating and swallowing difficult.

"I can't let Simon be in pain, and I can't allow it to get worse," Karen said. "But I live on such a low income, I didn't know what to do."

PetAid Receives Grant from ASPCA

PetAid is pleased to announce that it has received a grant from the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) to help us grow the Care Grants program from five to 47 counties.

"The most ideal place for any pet is at home, so the ASPCA is proud to help PetAid Colorado provide necessary funding that keeps pets and families together," says Karen Medicus, the ASPCA's senior director of Community Outreach.   Read more...

New this year! Former Denver Nuggets head coach, George Karl, will be stopping by to welcome participants prior to tee off, so feel free to arrive early to get his autograph or snap a photo with the legendary coach!
