Belmont Shore Bike Thefts
Bicycle thefts have been rampant in Belmont Shore lately and we encourage you to be extra careful when riding your bike to the club or anywhere else in the Shore.

Some tip s from the LBPD are:
1. Write down the bike serial number or put your name on it in an inconspicuous place so if it is recovered they can get it back to you.
2. Do not use cable type locks, the "U" type locks work better.
3. If it does get stolen file a police report.

It's dinnertime.
What's on the menu? Whether your goal is to lose weight, improve overall health or strengthen your bones, a meal with a balance of macro nutrients protein, carbohydrates and fats-is what you're aiming for.

Protein has been receiving a lot of attention recently. High-protein diets are touted for their ability to help with satiety and weight loss. Getting enough protein in your post-workout meal (and the whole day) can promote better muscle repair and recovery. Higher-protein intake has also been shown to preserve muscle strength as you age. But does this mean you need to become a full-time carnivore?

Exercise for a healthy spine
Spine health is often not a focus of strategic health and fitness planning, typically receiving attention only after an injury or chronic pain has occurred. Considering the important role the spine plays in overall functioning, incorporating exercises that create a strong and mobile spine can go a long way toward helping clients avoid low-back pain.
The spine has many functions. It provides support for the head, neck, shoulders and pelvic girdles, which are vital for coordinating movements on a daily basis. The spine protects the central nervous system, which controls every single function in the human body. Movement is a key element to everyday life and the spine allows functional movements in all three planes of motion.
Here are four important actions to take to improve spine health:
  1. Increase core strength
  2. Increase core flexibility
  3. Improve posture
  4. Improve body mechanics (during all aspects of life)
