HAVEN PROVIDES DIRECT ACCESS TO 9-1-1        

We're excited to tell you about Haven, a new app that connects you by phone or text to the nearest 9-1-1 dispatcher with just a single tap on your smartphone. It's a vitally important innovation for anyone with a hearing loss who might have difficulty making a phone call during an emergency. We're so thrilled with Haven that we've collaborated with its creator, RapidSOS, to offer it free to CHC friends and family.

The New York Times just published a story on PSAPS - devices that are not classified as hearing aids but offer the ability to effectively amplify sound in certain listening situations. Ali Piekin is Harvard Bound

Ali Piekin is a CHC alum who recalls what it was like growing up with profound hearing loss in a speech she delivered at the Golf Tournament June 27th at Wykagyl Country Club.  You may recall Ali from our 2015 Winter Appeal.
