CHAMBER NEWS  | BC Chamber Focuses on Kamloops Chamber Recommendations
2 Min. Read
With the recent adoption of 49 new policies, the BC Chamber has announced a refreshed advocacy agenda for the coming year.

Over the coming months, the BC Chamber will be calling on government to:
  • introduce a more competitive tax environment for business through a made-in-B.C. value added tax in place of the current PST;
  • create a more sustainable funding source for transit in urban centres, while managing the demand on our roads, through mobility pricing;
  • develop more affordable housing options, while addressing the need to protect industrial land; and
  • continue working toward responsible resource development, including supporting additional pipeline capacity for both oil and gas, in order to further grow our economy. *
The two bold bullet points above are recommendations to government that were brought forward by the Kamloops Chamber of Commerce. You can see the full recommendations here.
