Look who's in Vogue Knitting!

Vogue Knitting Article
Vogue Cover

Ok, we're a little excited as we're the featured yarn shop in the current issue of Vogue Knitting! We were so excited when they contacted us and said they wanted to do a story on us. They did a phone interview with us a bit ago and now the issue is out. We're just a little proud, and we also think she did a great job.

We're not really bragging as the thanks really goes to all of you, and of course the fabulous staff here at the shop, as without that community, none of the things we get to do would happen.  So, congratulations to all of us!
Trendsetter Transitions
A new yarn from Trendsetter!

Transitions is a wonderful one-skein project in a box!
It's dyed to create a beautiful gradient of rich colors. It's also wound into one large ball so you're not changing colors as you knit. The container even becomes your knit-out box with the yarn fed through a grommet on the side. In other words, it's ready to go. Just cast on and knit!

The yarn comes with a free pattern for a beautiful shawl that will end up about 54" wide and 21" long.

Transitions is a cotton/acrylic blend, so it's perfect for summer projects!

Sideways Hat

We like this pattern called The Sideways Ribbed Hat. The band is knit flat first, then you pick up and knit the top. Add two buttons for an accent and you have a simple, unique hat!

We knit this one in Happiness, our custom dyed, limited edition yarn. The yarn is spun and hand dyed in the US. It's also machine washable! This yarn is a limited edition yarn, so when it's gone - it's gone! Pick up a skein today!

This color is called Boardwalk, but any of them will do.

Auntie Wooly
Auntie Wooly Says...

Dahlings!

We're so happy about our story in Vogue Knitting, as well as being featured on the Crochet Guild of America Facebook page! People have been asking why these things happen, and all we can say it's because of all of you that support us and tell your friends about us. We do our best to "earn your inbox" with our little missives from the coast.

We're so glad to be a small part of a fiber history here in Cambria that goes back to 1978 with the original Ball & Skein in Cambria's west village. We do everything we can to make sure there will still be a yarn shop here in Cambria for many decades to come, and with your support we can make that happen! As we've seen posted at many independent shops of all types, "See it here, buy it here, keep us here!"

Until next time...

Happy Stitching!

Auntie W
