What's Next?
This week, I want to thank Rev. Sandra Weisner for her powerful message this past Sunday, titled "Shadow Boxing."
In activating our Power of Understanding, we will simply offer these key points from her sermon:
- With the many prayer vigils following each instance of violence in our world, what will be different when the last candle is blown out this time?
- Our Unity teachings are a source of support and comfort during these tumultuous times for our people.
- The symbol of the cross, for Rev. Sandra, represents a "cross-point," at which we have the opportunity to change our thoughts, beliefs, and behaviors;
- We are at the threshold of a dynamic transformation as a people... and transformation is often messy;
- The Biblical Book of Amos speaks of a "plumb line" God has given to the people of Israel - this is the Law, Spiritual Law, this is our Center, which grounds us, supports us, which we can always return to in consciousness... but the choice is ours.
Again, we offer our deepest thanks to Rev. Sandra for this very timely message.
In your prayer practice, please hold our world in the light and love of prayer. Affirm Oneness. Affirm Love. Affirm Peace.
