ASLA is delighted to announce that we were recently awarded a $25,000 grant to help further our mission from the Disability Studies Philanthropy Class at UCLA. We look forward to sharing the initiatives that are sponsored by this grant during 2016-2017.  Thank you to the Disability Studies Philanthropy Class at UCLA for supporting the Autism Society of Los Angeles!
 
We are excited to launch ASLA Camp NAVIN and registration details are detailed below.  Camp NAVIN is a Residential Camp for young adults, age 18-30 with developmental disabilities. Camp NAVIN encourages individual independence and friendship building. Camp will be Sunday August 14 through Friday August 19, 2016 in Malibu California.  ASLA is partnering with Leaps n Boundz to present Camp NAVIN - Leaps n Boundz are leaders in providing adaptive sports, recreation and social programming for individuals with special needs.

Finally, the Autism Society of California launches the 2016 Survey. This Survey Project helps the Autism Society of California and other advocacy groups better understand your lives and experiences as well as the hopes and dreams you have. Autism Society of CA uses the findings of this research to support our work in improving the lives of all affected by autism and other developmental disabilities. Please complete below...

NAVIN "Navigating Independence"

The Autism Society of Los Angeles announces 
Camp NAVIN 2016 Registration is OPEN!  

ASLA is partnering with Leaps n Boundz, leaders in providing adaptive sports, recreation and social programming for individuals with special needs to present Camp NAVIN.

WHAT is Camp NAVIN?  
A Residential Camp for young adults, age 18-30 with developmental disabilities .  To encourage individual independence and friendship building.

WHEN is Camp NAVIN? 
Summer 2016 - Sunday August 14 - Friday August 19, 2016.

WHERE is Camp NAVIN? 
In 2016 Camp NAVIN will be hosted at Camp Shalom in Malibu.  Activities include swimming, hiking, ropes course, zip line, animal interactions, campfire, and many more exciting adventures.  Accommodation is cabin style (not tents).

WHY attend Camp NAVIN?  
Camp NAVIN is a unique opportunity for our young adults across all developmental disabilities to participate in typical camping experience with the supports to facilitate a SAFE, and rewarding experience.

The tuition  for Camp NAVIN is $1,115 (Tuition includes ASLA $15 Self Advocate Membership fee).  Pre-payment is required and the 1st payment of 50% must be received by July 10, 2016 and 2nd payment August 1, 2016. you are not officially signed up to attend until funds are received.  Camp is non-refundable and non-transferable.

(Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy, Intellectual Disability) 

The Autism Society of California is excited to launch the 2016 Survey! This Survey Project helps the Autism Society of California and other advocacy groups better understand

Those who complete the survey will have the option to enter a chance to win $100 gift card to Target.
