Saving Children, Saving Families,

We will be convening October 25-27, 2016, at the fabulous Atlantis Casino Resort and Spa in Reno, Nevada. The agenda we are planning, the partners who will be participating, the experienced practitioners who will be attending, and the venue, all promise to make this a great conference!   Those of you who have attended National DEC's annual conference in years past know that there is much to learn, do, and see at our conference. We are hoping that you will join us this year for an important learning and networking opportunity.

We all have so much work to do to address substance abuse and child maltreatment - how can we take time out to attend a conference?   Here are some reasons this conference is worth your time:

1)    Presentations and Discussion - We pride ourselves in providing interesting presenters who have experience developing solutions to the problems you face in your daily work. The conference will have informative and interactive sessions that address current challenges, promising practices, and which share practical experiences and solutions from across the country;

2)    Networking opportunities - After twelve national conferences, we know for sure that you will develop connections in your profession and related professions with colleagues from across the country who will be an on-going source of information, support, and friendship;

3)    Information and resources - you will receive information and resources that will enable you to leverage your own experiences in dealing with the challenges of substance abuse and child maltreatment to be able to take action to establish creative and sustainable collaborative approaches to problem solving and improving outcomes for drug endangered children and their families and your communities;

4)   Part of a Compelling Mission and National Network - This conference will connect you with a growing national network of professionals through the National Alliance for Drug Endangered Children who are implementing collaborative efforts and a community policing approach to help drug endangered children and their families and communities. This conference is all about making good stuff happen in your community.

5)    Those continuing education credits we need - We are working hard to make sure the professionals who attend receive appropriate continuing education credit. Since it involves 50 states and numerous licensing agencies, we can't promise all credits to all participants, but we are getting prior approval where we can and in all cases we will provide the information you need to apply for credit in your state.

6)    Can we take care of ourselves? Our conference has a history or re-energizing and restoring hope to the participants. With the experienced practitioners who attend and the first class facility, you will have many chances to engage in enjoyable conversations with colleagues in a fun city surrounded by scenery and many entertainment options.

Don't miss out on this opportunity to get new information, network with new people, and be part of the solutions! We hope to see you there!
