In the newly created position, Ms. Cela will be responsible for all franchise clinical matters, establishing the direction of clinical policies and procedures, monitoring healthcare policy changes, and providing the executive franchisor team with data analysis and reporting for all sites.
Dr. Alejandro Badia, the Co-Founder and CEO of OrthoNOW, stated "We are delighted to have Thelma as our new Director of Clinical Operations. She will play an integral part of the already comprehensive support system leading OrthoNOW's franchise expansion. Her expertise in the field of clinical policies and procedures makes her an ideal person to provide the orthopedic urgent care centers with advice related to healthcare policies and clinical matters."
Thelma has over two decades of experience in the healthcare industry and has previously held senior positions in such leading organizations as Leon Medical Centers and Mercy Hospital. She has served on the healthcare business council of the South Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the Multiple Sclerosis News and Views. Thelma is a graduate of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce's Leadership Class XV.

Ira Fox MD, DABPM, FIPP, ABIPP becomes president of the World Society of Pain Clinicians

Anesthesia Pain Care Consultants, has been named president of the
World Society of Pain Clinicians (WSPC). The mission of the WSPC is to advance the understanding of mechanisms, assessment, prevention and the treatment of pain. The World Society of Pain Clinicians (WSPC) was formed over three decades ago for purely educational, scientific and charitable purposes.
Dr. Fox has been involved with the organization for several years, most recently as president-elect. As a physician who has treated patients with acute and chronic pain for more than 30 years, Dr. Fox is very passionate about what the WSPC represents.
"I look forward to working with the men and women of the WSPC who share a common interest in treating and reducing pain," said Dr. Fox.
Anesthesia Pain Care Consultants is based in Tamarac with a satellite office in Boca Raton.
