Reporting NAMI Education Program Data

Reporting the data collected from classes, support groups and trainings to the NAMI Data Collection Site is extremely important. Reporting helps NAMI California provide more data to obtain funding so that we can provide trainings for NAMI's Signature Programs. We understand that navigating the reporting site can be challenging, but we are here to help if any assistance is needed with navigating the Data Collection Site. If you have any questions or need any assistance, please do not hesitate to contact NAMI California at (916) 567-0163.

Each Mind Matters Materials Survey

Back in May, NAMI California sent Each Mind Matters materials to all of our affiliates to use for outreach and promotion of May is Mental Health Month. We would love to hear how these items were used at any events that your affiliate participated in.

If you could please take a few moments to fill out the Each Mind Matters (EMM) Materials Feedback survey ( https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/3XCZ3Y2 ) it would be greatly appreciated as this helps with reporting of EMM materials. Thank you for all of your hard work.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Erik Villalobos at [email protected] .

Ending the Silence In-Person Training September 2016

NAMI California is excited to announce that we will be hosting an In-Person  Ending the Silence (ETS) Training in  September 2016 in Solano County, CA . This training is perfect for affiliates that do not already offer the ETS program but are interested in providing it through their affiliate.

Ending the Silence is a 50-minute program designed for high school audiences and is typically presented in the freshman/sophomore health classes during the mental health portion of the curriculum. This transformational program is devoted to giving students an opportunity to learn about mental illness through an informative PowerPoint, short videos, and personal testimony. Through the presentation, students learn symptoms and indicators of mental illness, and are given ideas about how to help themselves, friends, or family members who may be in need of support.

If you are interested in participating in the ETS Training, please fill out and submit an ETS application by August 5, 2016 to Erik Villalobos, Education Coordinator, at [email protected]  or you can submit the application by fax at (916) 567-1757. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Erik.

For affiliates that already offer the program, please contact Erik to find out how to participate in the online ETS e-Learning training.

Ending the Silence e-Learning Online Presenter Training Process
Just a reminder to affiliates who offer the Ending the Silence program, NAMI California now offers new presenters training through an online training format developed by NAMI. This program allows presenters the ability for on-demand training to meet the needs of those with busy schedules. This online program will record when a presenter completes the training and is ready for the next phase of training.

Please review the Online Presenter Training Process for California form for details on the process of the online training (link below). If you have questions, please contact Erik Villalobos, Education Coordinator, at [email protected] .

For affiliates that do not already offer the program, NAMI California will be hosting in-person ETS training in September, please see above. Please stay tuned for more information as details become available!
