What Kind of Ride are YOU looking for?
Different people like different rides. Some like the heat, while others like cooler temps. Some people LOVE climbing and descending hills, while others hate to climb and get white knuckles on the descents. If you like cooler rides with low traffic levels and beautiful scenery, check out our Fall Tours. With our support crew on the road each day, you can ride as much or as little as you like. No matter what type of ride you like, it is out there. All you need to do is find it and then GO RIDE!
July 30 - Cleburne

Back in the 1990's, the Goatneck was cursed with rain. It seemed that every year they had big rains affect their routes and riders. Well, those rainy days are but a memory. Lately, The Goatneck has seen lots of heat and wind to go with their famous hilly routes. They do a great job taking care of their many riders on routes of 10, 27, 41 and 70 miles. The longest route starts at 7:30am, with everybody on the road before 8am. Get up early and drive to Cleburne for an awesome ride
Bikin' Mike's Cool Down Cocktail
First Inspired by The Goatneck

Years ago, while riding in The Goatneck with my friend Fred Miller, the heat was building and we were fading. I did not know how much Fred was fading until I heard him ask me to get up front (at my size he says I offer little relief). As I pulled him in to the finish, I thought about what we could do to combat the heat. I pulled out my water bottle and gave us both a spray on the arms and legs. It helped, but not much. When we pulled into the parking lot, I went to my car and began to grab some water bottles out of a cooler. As my hand dipped into the icy/slushy water, I had an idea. I grabbed some hand towels that were there, dipped them in the ice water, wrung them out and shared them with Fred. We used them to wipe down our faces, arms and legs before wrapping them around our necks. The Bikin' Mike Cool Down Cocktail was born. I make sure I have an ice chest and towels at every ride I attend - and they are always a hit. Just make sure to use it at the END of the ride for best results.
