Jean-Louis Vanderstraeten recently returned from France where he had the opportunity to participate to the CCI FI General Assembly (Chambres de Commerce et d'Industrie Françaises à l'International) in Paris and a weeklong seminar of the Directors in Nantes.

The General Assembly in Paris, June 2016

Little known from the general public and too often our members, the French-American Chamber of Commerce of the Carolinas, like the 113 French Chambers located in 83 countries, is part of the vast and powerful CCI network in France (Chambres de Commerce et d'Industrie). The CCI network includes 27 Regional Chambers (in the process of being reorganized to match the 13 new French Regions) and 135 Local Chambers. The CCI have for main mission to assist French companies to develop their activities in France... and abroad.
The Carolinas Chapter was not the only US representatives; the chapters of Philadelphia , Dallas, Atlanta, Miami, Chicago and Seattle were also on board. It gave us a chance to exchange ideas, information and best practices along with good wine, good food and great friendship.

Executive Directors of the American Chapters

The General Assembly elected a new Board representing the CCI in France and Mr. Arnaud Vaissi é as President for a second term, allowing him and the new board to complete the ambitious projects started a couple years ago. These projects (CRM, CCI Implantation +...) have the common goal to make our 113 Chambers across the world work better and closer with the CCI network in France.

Liberté, Egalité, Fraternité!

We would like to express our sincere sympathy to all of those who have been affected by the attack in Nice.
What should have been a time of celebration and joy turned into a senseless show of violence.
Please know that we at the FACC Carolinas are thinking about you and stand by you during this tragic time.
