During the Chamber's coffee chat at the Louise Graham Regeneration Center, District 70 State House Representative Darryl Rouson spoke about his passion for drug rehabilitation, justice reform and using his position as an elected official to promote economic growth in the South St. Petersburg community. The next Coffee Chat is on August 16th with Council Member Karl Nurse.

PSTA will host two public workshops regarding the proposed Bus Rapid Transit line between downtown St. Petersburg and the beaches, one of which will also address the downtown circulator. This is a great opportunity to learn and give input to shape the future of St. Pete transportation.

Chamber members learned about the 'Ready for 100' solar power initiative to dramatically expand the use of solar power in the City of St. Petersburg over the next decade. Members also spent time revising the mission statement of the Sustainability Task Force.

PSTA, Uber to announce new partnership

Earlier this year, the agency that oversees the bus system in Pinellas announced a pilot partnership with Uber that was designed to get people to bus stops.  Now, the  Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority  is prepared to expand that service and to announce another project with Uber.
