Table of Contents
We will have electric scooters for rent during the show thanks to Ted's Mobility. If you need a scooter to navigate the show, stop by the Show Office. They rent for $10 per hour or $50 for the day. We don't take reservations but have never not had them when needed.

Ready to start your treasure hunt?  Welcome to the 103rd Portland Expo Show. If so, you'll find plenty of vintage things to take home.

The items in a show filled with things that are no longer being made presents a special challenge. They don't come from a catalog and the people that bring them search high and low.  One word of advice: after every show we receive many phone calls from customers who are trying to find the booth that had (fill in the blank). We work to find that exhibitor for you, only to discover that it was sold during the weekend. So the watchword is, buy it when you see it because if you don't it may go to another good home while you're thinking it over.

But if you're looking for that doll or comic book that your mom threw away, chances are you'll find it this weekend. Most people don't come with a shopping list. At least I don't. I come home with things that I'm excited to discover, take home and put in their place.

If you're looking for a particular category, stop by Keyword Kiosk and check with the operator. We can send you on your way with a printed list of those who have certain things, along with a map showing you the way.

Below are just a few of the really special things that are coming to the show. Get ready to have a great time and again, take home some truly one of a kind items.

A LITTLE PREVIEW OF THE SHOW.......
FLOYD, THE DOG GUY

If you've attended this show in the past, you've probably run across Floyd. He is one of the most personable dealers in the show. And for the past 42 years, Floyd Pearson has been a fulltime dealer, specializing in vintage dog figurines - porcelain, bronze, prints and paintings. Floyd was formerly a dog breeder and showed dogs at all the shows.

When he changed direction all those years ago, of course he gravitated towards dogs in his antique business and has developed a loyal following of collectors who are attracted to man's best friend and Floyd's prices, which are very reasonable.
This time he's bringing a collection that belonged to a person who showed the borzoi breed at dog shows. Borzois were popular with the Tsars before the 1917 revolution. For centuries, they could not be purchased but only given as gifts from the Tsar.

Most of the figurines that Floyd is bringing this time were used as trophies at borzoi shows or used as gifts. The piece to the left of the lady and her dog was a trophy award from the 1980s. While it is fairly contemporary and made of a resin composition, it's a beautiful piece and Floyd has priced it very reasonably. The three dogs above were made in Germany and Italy and were made pre-war.
Floyd sent more photos than we had room for here and has many more dog related trophies and other dog themed vintage items. You'll find him in Hall E, against the south wall, first two booths.
                                                    ORMOLULU!
Debi is well known for her exquisite taste in vintage home and garden and the most interesting looks in decorative antiques. She and her partner in crime, Jim Blondeau, source out special things, make sure they're in beautiful shape and offer them in their beautiful store in Bellingham, WA. We are fortunate when, three times a year they come down to Portland with such a fabulous display. You'll find them in Hall E against the south wall in Section L, Booths 3, 4 & 5.
Exquisite, very large Chinese tapestry/curtain made with silver, bronze and copper threading on brown silk. Museum quality.

Large, Chinese garment rack
A museum quality large Chinese gold-thread tapestry pillow with black leather back.
                A TOMIC AGE ANTIQUES

Jim and Linda Maley from Southern California, always have something interesting and different. Jim specializes in really good advertising and his wife Linda deals in early Barbies. They've been with this show since its very early years in the mid-1980s.

This time, Jim is bringing the Wrigley's Gum piece at the top of this email. He's also bringing another real find:
A rare and unusual Timex wrist watch store display featuring Hopalong Cassidy. It was made in the early 1950's of composition hard rubber. Also 1950's Maverick paint by numbers set in amazing unused condition.

And if you are a Barbie collector, you'll be in heaven in this booth. In addition to early Barbie dolls, Linda also handles early clothing and accessories. Jim and Linda never bring the same things to this show twice, so if you saw them at the last show, be sure to swing by and see what they've uncovered since then. You'll find them in Hall E, against the front wall in booth M-1.

PENNANTS!

Steve Natoli seems to always come up with interesting stuff. This time he'll be bringing a variety of pennants including Rose Bowl pennants from the late 1959s. You'll find Steve in Hall E, Row D, Booths 30 & 31.

Oregon Agricultural College pennant (now Southern Oregon) ca: 1900

Ducks Rose Bowl pennant 1958
Beavers Rose Bowl pennant 1957
1900 OAC pennant
At six feet long this would be unforgetable decor for your party room or sports bar

A minor departure from Steve's usual rare is this beautiful  Czech glass and bronze parrot decanter:

E & S Antique Finders

Ed and Sandra Martin earn their name by always seeking the best in desirable old treasures. The small octagon hardware cabinet to the left is a beautiful and truly vintage decorative piece.

The poster on the right is a vintage O'Sullivan poster of boys playing baseball. Size 37 x 55"

You'll find Sandra and Ed in Hall E, Row B, Booths 7 & 8.
