Apply now for Citizens Memorial Hospital's EMS Academy and start your career as an EMT. Classes will meet Monday and Wednesday from 6 - 10 p.m. at CMH EMS Headquarters, located at 1525 N. Oakland, Bolivar. Class begins Sept. 7, 2016, and ends March 8, 2017.
Tuition is $600 and includes textbooks, online access codes, polo shirts, and testing fees (does not include re-testing fees) to successfully complete the course. This class will equip students with all the education needed to be a high-performing EMT and a desirable candidate for employment. Vaccinations (TB test, hepatitis B, and influenza) will be required, and students must pass criminal background checks (no felonies or drug-related convictions).

Coursework, classroom activities, and in-class testing will enforce personal safety, teamwork, and exceptional compassionate patient care. Extensive use of simulation and scenario education will be included. Additionally, personal work habits and fitness activities will be included to prepare students for a life-long career in EMS.
Deadline to apply is Aug. 17, 2016. A refundable $50 application fee is due at the time of application. If you are not selected to be a student, you will receive a full refund. CMH EMS Academy will contact you by email to schedule an interview. Class size is limited to 12 students. If you are selected, full tuition payment will be required prior to the first day of class.
