The National Football Foundation (NFF) & College Hall of Fame announced that the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl will host the 12 th  Annual National Hall of Fame Salute on Saturday, Dec. 31. The event, which will take place at the Georgia Dome and just steps from the College Football Hall of Fame in the heart of Atlanta, will utilize the Bowl to showcase the 2016 Class. The game will be nationally telecast on ESPN and serve as a College Football Playoff Semifinal for the 2016 season.

Prior to the game, a multi-day celebration for the inductees will take place in Atlanta, including several unique events and a special public ceremony at the College Football Hall of Fame where the inductees will see their legendary accomplishments permanently immortalized for the first time.
NFF National Scholar-Athlete Nominations
Nomination forms for the NFF's coveted National Scholar-Athlete Awards, presented by Fidelity Investments, have been sent to collegiate sports information directors. The deadline for submissions will be Wednesday, Aug. 31.

Eligible candidates must be a senior or graduate student in their final year of eligibility; have a cumulative 3.2 GPA (undergrad); be a starter or significant contributor; and have outstanding leadership and citizenship. Official transcripts as well as a head shot and action photo of the nominee are required.

Each member of the NFF National Scholar-Athlete Class will receive an $18,000 postgraduate scholarship. One honoree will be selected as the winner of the NFF 
William V. Campbell Trophy , presented by Fidelity Investments, and will have his scholarship increased to $25,000. All members of the class will be honored guests at the 59th NFF Annual Awards Dinner at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City on Dec. 6.

Free Admission for All Active-Duty and Retired Military
All active duty and retired service men and women will now receive free admission to the Hall of Fame year-round with a  valid military ID.

July 23, Mascot Day-  Show your favorite college mascots some love on Mascot Day! Fans who dress up as their favorite college mascot get FREE admission to the Hall on July 23. Guests must arrive in costume to our box office to receive free entry.

July 30, Educator Day- The Hall will hosts its own "Educator Day" and offer FREE admission to teachers and principals with valid identification. Educators can also learn about our free T.E.A.M.S. curriculum - a comprehensive lesson plan focused on technology, engineering, arts, mathematics and science. The Hall's compelling educational experience is sure to bring your class to its feet!

Aug. 13, National Lefty Day- Join us for National Lefthanders Day as we celebrate lefty Hall of  Famers like  Frankie Albert Terry Baker  and Steve Young! Get $5 off your ticket by completing our outdoor QB challenge with only your left hand. Georgia Tech Ticket Deal- Georgia Tech is teaming up with the College Football Hall of Fame to offer a dual-ticket for its football games vs. Georgia Southern and Vanderbilt.

The Blitz
2016 College Football Hall of Fame electee  Pat McInally (Harvard) was named the National Coach of the Year by the  National Christian School Athletic Association. McInally serves as the head football coach at Brethren Christian High School in Huntington Beach, Calif.

College Football Hall of Fame coach  Fisher DeBerry  will host  the Seventh Annual South Carolina Coaches for Charity July 26 at the Hyatt Regency in Greenville, S.C. Participating coaches include Wofford's Mike Ayers, Furman's Bruce Fowler, South Carolina's Will Muschamp, South Carolina State's Buddy Pough, Clemson's Dabo Swinney and the Citadel's Brent Thompson. Each coach chooses a charity that benefits from his participation, as well as picking a Jerry Richardson Community MVP Award honoree. College Football Hall of Fame coach Jerry Moore will also participate.
 
College Football Hall of Famers  Sean Brewer (Millsaps [Miss.]) and  Wesley Walls(Mississippi) will be  inducted into the State of Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame on July 30 in ceremonies at the Jackson Convention Complex. Other inductees include  Jackie Sherrill, the winningest football coach in Mississippi State history, and late Southern Miss football player  Willie Heidelburg, the first African-American to play at a Mississippi Division I school.

College Football Hall of Famer  Bill Glass was named to Baylor's Wall of Honor and will participate in on-campus enshrinement activities during the Oct. 14-15 weekend.

College Football Hall of Famer Gary Reasons (Northwestern State) is part of FOX Sports Southwest's coverage of 2016 Big 12 Media Days.
 
College Football Hall of Famer  Jim Brown (Syracuse) will be  inducted into the New York State Public High School Athletic Association Hall of Fame July 27 in a ceremony at Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona, N.Y.
 
College Football Hall of Famer  Dwayne Nix (Texas A&M-Kingsville) has been  elected to the Lone Star Conference Hall of Honor.
 
The  Pat Tillman Foundation, named in honor of the late College Football Hall of Famer from Arizona State, and ESPN  presented the third annual Pat Tillman Award for Service to Paralympic swimmer  Sgt. Elizabeth Marks at the 2016 ESPYS in Los Angeles.

The Indianapolis Colts will build a statue of 1997 Campbell Trophy winner Peyton Manning (Tennessee)  outside Lucas Oil Stadium.
 
The  Tim Tebow Foundation, led by the 2009  Campbell Trophy winner from Florida,  is calling for everyone to join together July 23 for an international day of service.
 
1994 NFF National Scholar-Athlete  Joey Galloway (Ohio State) and fellow ESPN college football analyst  Joe Tessitore will  co-host the 45th annual Big Ten Kickoff Luncheon July 26 at the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place in Chicago. The luncheon will also include speeches by NFF Board Member and Big Ten Commissioner  Jim Delany and Pasadena Tournament of Roses president  Brad Ratliff. The Pasadena Tournament of Roses is the presenting sponsor of the Ivy League's Asa S. Bushnell Cup announcement, an official event of the NFF Annual Awards Dinner.
Over The Middle
The NFF Maine Chapter held its 17th Annual Golf Tournament at Harold Alfond's beautiful Belgrade Lakes Golf Course July 11. A total of 64 golfers participated and all received an NFF Membership with their greens fees. Dan Dangler of Stadium Systems, a strong supporter of many New England Chapters, led his foursome to victory. President Marty Ryan and former Maine head coach Jack Cosgrove led the event.

The NFF Bill Dooley (N.C.) Chapter  hosted its  14th annual Pigskin Preview today at the Embassy Suites in Cary, N.C. The event featured head football coaches from colleges in the region, including David Cutcliffe (Duke), Dave Doeren (N.C. State), Larry Fedora (North Carolina), Jerry Mack (N.C. Central) and Scottie Montgomery (East Carolina). All proceeds from the event benefit the chapter's scholarship program.

The Touchdown Club of Atlanta-NFF Chapter will hold its Second Annual TCA Golf Tournament and Membership Drive July 28 at the Heritage Golf Club in Tucker, Ga. 

The NFF Capital District (N.Y.) Chapter announced its Seventh Annual Capital Region Football Hall of Fame Induction Class, which includes 23 individuals and the 1939 Whitehall High School team. The induction ceremony will be held July 30 at the Radisson Turf Inn in Albany, N.Y.

The NFF Nebraska Chapter will hold its Hall of Fame Banquet on Sept. 9 at the University of Nebraska's Memorial Stadium in Lincoln.

The 2015-16 Orange Bowl Festival, including the 2015 College Football Playoff Semifinal at the Capital Orange Bowl, generated a total of $227.7 million in new economic impact and media exposure value for South Florida... The San Francisco 49ers have taken over management of the Foster Farms Bowl and signed a four-year broadcast partnership with FOX Sports to televise the game...

Extensive live coverage of 2016 Big 12 Football Media Days will be provided by FOX Sports and the Big 12 Digital Network July 18-19. The NFF will participate in Big 12 Media Days on Tuesday, July 19... UTSA announced that three home football games will be televised on KMYS-CW 35 in San Antonio...  Kennesaw State and Peachtree TV (WPCH) in Atlanta have signed an agreement to air a selection of KSU football games this season...
