Chamber Announces Business Financing
& Group Funding Options
At the June meeting of the Outer Banks Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors the board voted unanimously to engage with Street Shares on a new affinity program for the Chamber, its members and business community.
The Street Shares Story:
Today's small business owners face a very different environment than that experienced by America's 'greatest generation', post-World War II. Thanks to strict lending laws and big bank consolidation, getting a bank loan is extremely difficult and time consuming. Throw in the majority of online business loan options, and the situation becomes too expensive.
In 2013, StreetShares co-founders, Mark Rockefeller and Mickey Konson, met for breakfast at a local diner to develop a new business funding option that had the needs of everyday business owners in mind. The founding team had one vision: to breathe new life into the American Dream. And StreetShares, America's small business funding community, was born.
The StreetShares community brings together business owners in search of funding and investors looking for both financial and social returns. In the end, business owners get the best deal possible, and investors earn a solid return while supporting American small business - everybody wins.
How it Works:
Street Smarts makes it easy for small business to find the right loan product. Every small business has a story;
you have the option to tell yours. Loans at Street Shares include: loan amounts between $2,000-
$100,000, terms of 3 months to 3 years, fixed rates that will never increase, funding in days, not months.
Borrower requirements include: US Citizen or permanent resident, in business for at least 1 year, reasonable
credit, erning $25,000+ in annual business revenue, incorporated (single member LLC or partnership is okay), a business guarantor.
