Dear Alumni Community,
Summer is definitely here and we're feeling the effects! It's a little quieter on campus while students and teachers are on break, the heat and humidity continue to rise and we're prepping for an exciting year a
head.
First though, we're reflecting on an incredible year of growth for the Alumni Community. Thanks to your support, Alumni
participation in the Lion's Fund doubled this year and we had
a record breaking class participation of 60% from the Class of 1995.
We launched new

communication initiatives such as the monthly newsletter and a redesigned magazine. We also had amazing turnout at our 14 local and regional events throughout the year. All of this was supported by our incredible volunteers who gave their time and treasure to make these efforts successful. Thank you all for a wonderful year; we're looking forward to what the next year brings and our trajectory of growth.
Best,

STRATEGIC PLANNING FOR ST. ANDREW'S
This spring, we asked for your help in supporting our school-wide strategic planning process. More than 800 community members responded through surveys and focus groups. School leaders have analyzed St. Andrew's financial and demographic data, comparing our results to those of independent schools in greater Washington and nationwide. Earlier this month, Robert Kosasky, Head of School, shared the key strengths, areas of challenge and likely areas of strategic focus.

TEACHERS GO BACK TO CLASS
In our end of year closing meetings, members of our faculty and staff stepped into the shoes of middle school students when they were asked to dissect sheep brains. It was part of a two-day workshop with Research Schools International, led by members of the faculty at Harvard's Graduate School of Education.
