It seems we, more than ever, need to be people who work to unite rather than to divide.

   

The events of the last several weeks seem to be aimed at dividing us: race vs race, religion verses religion, law enforcement vs non law enforcement, etc.  We have come to the point where we focus on our differences and why others are wrong and should change their behaviour rather than our similarities and how we can work together for the common good.

   

Yes, we are all different with different talents, abilities, ethnic backgrounds, family backgrounds and religious beliefs.  More true, we are all citizens and residents of a country that  gives its citizens and residents more personal freedom than anywhere else on earth.

   

Let's stand together against tyranny, bigotry and anyone who advocates taking away our freedom to follow our dreams and be who we want to be in the name of protecting us and keeping us safe.
