Volunteer attorneys and law students needed for Project Homeless Connect on July 23rd!
 
Please let us know when you can volunteer to help a homeless person with a legal issue during Project Homeless Connect  on Saturday, July 23rd at Boutwell Auditorium.
 
Volunteer attorneys and law students are needed for two shifts. Since the largest amount of clients come in the mornings, we are asking for more volunteers first thing.

Volunteering Slots
  •  7:30 to 11:30 a.m.       25 volunteers needed minimum
  • 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.          6 volunteers needed minimum

 HELP A CLIENT IN NEED
1. Help this disabled man get a divorce
   
This disabled client needs help navigating the divorce process. The client is about to move into an assisted living residence. The parties have been married for forty nine years. (16-0006195)

 ATTORNEYS WHO CLOSED CASES:

Attorney  Kendra Johnson  went to court with two clients who were being sued by their landlord for $3,000 in cleaning fees after he  removed their possessions just one day after posting an eviction notice. Kendra filed a counterclaim and represented the clients in front of  Judge Shera Grant , who issued a win-win ruling that the landlord owed the clients $925 but the clients also owed the landlord $925.


Attorney  Kenneth Baumann  obtained an uncontested divorce for his client including obtaining sole custody of his two children.
