Emergency Repair Program

MAAG, in conjunction with the Delta Human Resource Agency and the Shelby County Housing Department, are currently helping low income elderly homeowners through the Emergency Repair Program. This program, which is funded by the Tennessee Housing Development Agency, provides grants to low income, elderly homeowners who are 60 years or older to correct, repair, or replace an essential system and/or a critical structural problem. The purpose of the program is to provide essential repairs to make the home livable.  To apply or for more information contact Paul Morris

PetSafe® Bark for Your Park Grant

PetSafe® brand is awarding over $250,000 in grants in 2016!  Touching More Communities  PetSafe brand is excited to announce the NEW Bark for Your Park Grant Program! Since 2011, PetSafe brand has given away over $850,000 for 19 new dog parks across the country. This year, PetSafe brand will award grants to 25 communities across the country. Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC) - Recycling and Waste Reduction Grants 

The Division of Solid Waste Management is soliciting applications for used oil collection equipment grants.  This competitive grant offering is to assist local governments and privately owned facilities to improve and expand used oil infrastructure for the collection of used oil from Do-It-Yourselfers. CDBG Façade Improvement Applications Released

Applications were released for the next round of Façade Improvement Grants. These grants of up to $100,000 are available for commercial façade improvements in downtown business districts in Main Street certified communities and communities that have completed the Tennessee Downtowns program and have an active design committee. For more information on the program, contact Nancy Williams at [email protected].

Town of La Grange Awarded TDOT Multimodal Access Fund Grant to Improve Sidewalks

Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam and TN Department of Transportation Commissioner John Schroer have announced a Multimodal Access Fund award for the Town of La Grange. The town will receive $408,365 for sidewalk improvements to address pedestrian access and safety along Highway 57 and Main St. La Grange is one of 14 applicants to receive funding totaling $10.3 million to address needs in transit, pedestrian, and bicycle facilities.

City of Atoka Awarded TDOT Community Transportation Planning Grant for Complete Streets Plan

Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam and TN Department of Transportation Commissioner John Schroer have announced an award for the Town of Atoka through the Community Transportation Planning Grant. Atoka will receive $45,000 to develop a complete streets plan to address transportation and land use concerns. Atoka will provide a 10% match, or $5,000, for a total project cost of $50,000.  The community is one of ten applicants which received funding totaling $1 million for community planning initiatives.
