Farm Credit Helps "GROW" New Ag Exhibit
$100,000 Grant Supports Ag Education for St. Louis Visitors
FCI joined three other regional Farm Credit System partners to support the St. Louis Science
Center's new agriculture exhibit, GROW. Together, FCI, FCS Financial, AgriBank, and CoBank
contributed $100,000 to the exhibit campaign, funding a series of activity tables and raised planter
beds in the exhibit's HomeGROWn Do-It-Yourself farming area. GROW's
grand opening
was June 18
.

Local Foods More Accessible at Market at the Square
Farm Credit Sponsors SNAP Double Value Program
Farm Credit is providing $8,000 in funding to match SNAP purchases made at Urbana's Market at the Square up to $20 per person each Market day. The program enhances the value the Market provides to customers, farmers who sell agricultural products there weekly, and the entire community in support of the local foods system.

Newsroom Offers Education to FFA Members

Farm Credit Services, continued their sponsorship of the Farm Credit Newsroom at the 88
th
Illinois State FFA Convention last month. FFA members volunteered to provide instructions, organize cutlines, capture and edit photos of award recipients, and finalize press releases. Collectively, volunteers published 93 news releases and captured 308 digital photos including the announcement of the newly elected State Officer Team.

Price Check
Land Sales in the Last 90 Days
The Price Check listing includes results for 40 different farmland auctions reported since the last results were published in April. These 40 public auctions concluded with successful bids and represented 3,229 total acres in 22 different counties selling for nearly $24 million with an average price of $7,396 per acre.

Class of 2016 Agriculture Scholars Honored
Scholarship Luncheon Held June 2
Twenty-one of the 24 scholars and their guests attended a scholarship recognition luncheon at the cooperative's central office in Mahomet. A total of $36,000 was awarded - $1,500 to each scholar who will pursue an agriculture related college degree. This marks the 1
3th year of the Farm Credit Agriculture Scholarship program which has awarded nearly $300,000 to 275 students since 2004.
