"NRMN Health Research Talks" Starting July 2016
The National Research Mentoring Network, in partnership with the UAB Minority Health and Health Disparities Research Center (MHRC), is proud to present this series of videos on health disparities research entitled NRMN Health Research Talks.

The 8-video series provides professional development information for junior faculty planning research careers as independent investigators in fields related to community-based health and health disparities, beginning with an installment led by UAB's Mona N. Fouad, MD, MPH.

NRMN-CAN Hosts Mentor Training Workshop in June 2016 

NRMN-CAN hosted a Mentor Training Workshop for Postdocs on June 19-21, 2016.  27 postdocs from 13 Universities throughout the CIC network participated in the workshop, held in the Big Ten Conference Center in Rosemont, IL.

The workshop was developed for NRMN-CAN by the NRMN Mentor Training Core to be specifically tailored to postdocs who are in the dual role of mentees to their PI and mentors in training as future faculty members.

Look for NRMN at ABRCMS 2016!

NRMN will have an official presence at the 2016 Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minority Scientists (ABRCMS).

Attendees will be able to visit NRMN staff at booth #620 of the ABRCMS conference hall, where they'll be able to learn more about NRMN's programming, upcoming opportunities, and resources, as well as to join NRMN by setting up an account on the NRMNet.net website.

Mentor Certifications now Offered! Apply Today!

The National Research Mentoring Network wants to acknowledge your involvement as a mentor in this nationwide program by recognizing you as an  NRMN Mentor,  NRMN Certified Mentor, or  NRMN Master Mentor.

Mentors whose applications are approved will receive a certificate endorsed by NRMN, recognizing their level of experience and skill as a mentor.

NRMN Mentor Training Modules featured at HELI 2016 Conference

Twenty-five scholars from across the country visited University of Wisconsin-Madison campus the week of June 13 for the 7th annual Health Equity Leadership Institute (HELI), a "research boot camp" for investigators doing research on health disparities and health equity.

During the course of the Institute, attendees participated in two NRMN curricular modules developed by the NRMN Mentor Training Core.

NRMN's Supplement Award program led by Dr. Doris Rubio of the University of Pittsburgh proudly announces that applications are now open for mentors wishing to enhance their mentorship and leadership skills.
